Why rapeseed requires specialized equipment

Rapeseed is one of the most demanding crops to harvest. Rapeseed pods crack easily under mechanical impact, while stems tend to wrap around working elements. Harvesting with a standard grain header may lead to 15-25% crop loss. A rapeseed table is a specialized header attachment that solves these problems.

How a rapeseed table works

The rapeseed table is mounted on a standard grain header and extends 50-70 cm forward. Vertical side knives separate the rapeseed mass before it reaches the cutting unit. The active reel divider gently guides stems to the knife without excessive pod shaking.

Planetary drive

ZHNIV-AGRO rapeseed tables use a planetary side-knife drive. It provides smooth and even knife movement without jerks, which is critical for minimizing losses. The planetary mechanism is also more durable and requires less maintenance compared with a crank drive.

Hydraulic side knives

Hydraulically driven side knives provide a clean vertical cut through the rapeseed mass. Knife speed can be adjusted from the combine cab depending on crop density and field condition.
